I like it overall, but I personally think the following: A) The cobblestone doesn't really fit next to regular stone, it seems like a really stark transition. B) The ores are far too cluttered for how smooth the stone is. C) I don't really like the blue in the wood's rivets. Other than that, I think...

No, Forge doesn't add new block IDs. It's an API to increase compatibility with other mods, and also has things like infinite sprites and textures, not blocks.

FC has said he doesn't want to alter the world gen, so there's nothing like that. It's perfectly fine to install on an old world. (I did) Just find some hemp seeds and plant 'em.
