The unexpected gift! After a lot of effort, Sockthing added Deco support!

Anyone that can supply some screenshots?

Download it here for BTW CE 1.4.1

Re: Nether Portal Linking

The NetherPortalFix mod is MIT licensed, someone should look into porting it maybe.

Texture packs take a long time to load (HELP WANTED)

https://github.com/BTW-Community/BTW-Public/issues/4 Texture packs take a long time to load on startup, but not while the game is already running, making people resort to making their options file read-only, so they can't forget to turn off the texture pack at the end of each session. Investigation ...

Graphical bugs on ARM MacOS (HELP WANTED)

https://github.com/BTW-Community/BTW-Public/issues/45

There are all sorts of graphical issues with the new ARM MacOS devices. It seems like the fix will be simple, but hard to find, and obviously we need more eyes on this issue. Any programmers with access to an ARM Mac, feel free to chime in.

Re: Better Than Wolves Source Code (Version 4.B0000003)

New easy method of getting access to the BTW 4.B0000003 source:

Download this zip file:
https://github.com/BTW-Community/BTW-Pu ... 000003.zip

Run the gradlew bat file and it will create an MCP folder with the source set up (takes about 5 minutes on my machine)

Re: Silage - A Proposal For Animal Feed

Either way, them being used for animal breeding or not, I don't see a reason to force baking to stay a manual process. If you like baking cake manually, you can always do that right? So what's the problem with people prefering factory cake :P I don't see a reason for hardcore buckets to stay the wa...

Re: Silage - A Proposal For Animal Feed

As much as I enjoy immersion, I'm with Hiracho and Aaron in that I'm sorta partial to desserts for breeding. They're quirky and offer some fun automation prospects. If the more immersive option is chosen, I would make sure they're at least as fun and evocative to produce/automate. The other side of ...

Silk Touch

Are there any blocks that are currently not silk touchable that maybe should be? And maybe can make a list of ones that clearly should not be too. Maybe: Loose stone with lava No chance: Ice Lava pillows Clay ore (has a recipe for crafting into 9 clay balls for historic reasons)

Re: Armor balance

I'd like to summarize some more discussion that happened on Discord: Hiracho rightly argued that the mending idea is flawed, since the goal of this new "category" of armors is to encourage automation and the mending mechanic works against that. It wouldn't add a lot at first and be obsolet...

Re: Armor balance

I like the idea of mending clothing to save time on recrafting damaged pieces of armor. I could see myself patching up a leather chestplate easy. If padding's gimmick was that it was easy to mend, maybe I could see myself using it? I think some tests ought to be run, I really do not know how good p...

Villagers (automation and the mid-game slump)

Most of this is a summary of a conversation between Dawnraider and Hiracho, as well as a bunch of prior conversations with different people that informed that conversation. The issue seems to be the following: by the time the game lets you unlock most automation equipment, you are past the point of ...

Armor balance

Currently there's a lot of armors, but the way they are balanced, they don't feel very varied, since they are all either linear upgrades or borderline useless. This leads to less player decisions and a bunch of fun subsystems that go under-used. Dawnraider gave the following breakdown of how she use...

Re: Are melons OP?

I definitely think in that case, mineshafts should give a different reward then, melons being the main reason to brave them. The problem with melon seeds in mineshafts is that once you find them, you've got infinite, so maybe the mineshafts could do with some rare item that is always worth it instea...
