I always forget something when I try that.
You have to make sure the hopper is connected to mechanical power.
The urn has to be placed underneath the hopper.

i was playing with the piston setup, and having a footprint of 7 x 7 as high as i want is pretty effective and not really that much on space. Thats including the wiring to run the pistons.
