Re: Removal of incredibly easy-access to cheats

Disagreement is perfectly fine, being a dick isn't. Doesn't matter who was a dick first, just don't do it, which goes for both you and Aaron. Doubling down on being a dick after being warned not to is not helping your case. Ah, well in that case I'm considerably less salty. Hopefully anyone can see...

Re: Removal of incredibly easy-access to cheats

Oh jebus lol. So I'm not allowed to respond in kind to someone's jab, just because I hold a lone position on a point that is (strangely) important to you all? "If you can't will yourself not to cheat, then... =P" Seems like a lite jab to me, no? And Dawn sends me a forum warning. Adorable....

Re: Removal of incredibly easy-access to cheats

And then one day you log in to find a corrupted chunk right in the middle of your base. The ability to go into creative and fix glitches is important. You don't realize you need it until something awful happens. If you find yourself going into creative a lot to cheat... :p I'm very glad that you ha...

Removal of incredibly easy-access to cheats

https://i.imgur.com/rf80VSs.png My request is that this finally gets removed. The argument that self control should be used is a non-argument; one could have said the same thing for when you could wallhack mobs by pressing F3. "Just use self control". The more convenient a means to cheat ...

Re: Way to prevent climbing waterfalls

Personally I find the large hunger cost to be enough. It encourages the player to be conscious about when they do it, without being too overbearing. Anything more drastic would cause issues with swimming out of things like clay holes anyways, since those also fill with downward flowing water. Hm......

Way to prevent climbing waterfalls

I feel like it's one of the remnants from old MC which doesn't fit with BTW's mantra of weight and consequence. I understand it drains hunger pretty quick, but otherwise that's quite a nothingburger. Perhaps to maintain the ability to 'swim', while preventing the ability to climb single/two/three bl...

Re: New Release! (BTW CE 2.0)

Quick Q - I vaguely remember there be 'hardcore stepping' (to paraphrase) in the game, where stepping on loose blocks would cause them to drop (and you with them).

Am I misremembering, or has it been removed?

Ok that world with the mountains and the overhang are sweet. Can you share the seed and settings for that, and the coords? (use /loc to get the coordinates) I too was quite struck by it =P Best I can do for ya is give you the world. https://www.mediafire.com/file/lmw4dfg2s5bnenw/World+of+Flowers+'2...

Hello Dawn. Mighta missed this in your testing, but when the blocks aren't connected to normal grass they show the greyscale, biome-unaffected version of the texture. - https://streamable.com/6o7c62 You read my mind with the grassy clay change, and I love that it's now a hybrid block (grass + clay, ...

If this is intended (small trees in an orchard, stumps wouldn't be that 'tough') then that's fine, just wanted to make sure it was intended. Cheers <3

Consider player-placed logs decaying next to natural leaves as natural rot. Shouldn't have left the wood next to something moist and organic xD

Re: Tree Decay & Deeper Oceans

Leaves store if they are natural or player-placed, though logs already use all 16 states. Best way to do it imo would just be to trace the logs like you mentioned, and then only activate tree-chopping behavior when the logs are contacting natural leaves. Would it be possible to sacrifice one of the...

BTA/BB Appreciation Thread

Well, been playing BTW for about 8 years now, on n' off, and from my first playthrough to my last my biggest woe with the game was that the terrain was just samey and boring. BTA is awesome, no words need to be said. Just bear witness. Purpose of this thread is to show off a few pics, so have at it....

Ooh. So you're saying the name of the ctm would be the same as clay, then in 'metadata=' I'd put those corresponding numbers? I'll give it a try, thank you

Yes... I do share similar opinions with Blacklands, but there are only a few biomes with really tall trees, and all the other ones I find to be too beautiful to turn off (at least at this stage). Also, your BB plains biomes are absolutely awesome. Love 'em. I Different kind of crash: Concerningly, t...
