Re: Packed Earth

I've switched over to using loose cobblestone for paths and stuff, since mining any ores and such gives a lot more than it used to. As for the excess dirt, well, I just fill in unwanted caverns and things, saves on using precious torches and eliminates monster spawns. I don't have any easy access to...

Villagers(not really a spoiler by now)

I don't know if it's intentional, or just that I don't usually do a full reinstall of BTW whenever there is an update, but I was having a real problem finding villages with anything other than normal zombies in each house. Once I did a full reinstall with the previous version of the mod, I started f...

Re: Jorge's Miscellaneous Addon V3.2 Starry Expanse

Thanks man, I really appreciate it! Also, thanks a ton for fixing the craftguide add-on as well, I'm so lost with out it!

Edit: can you check the Blue and White markers? I think they are still using stone instead of loose cobble?

Re: Jorge's Miscellaneous Addon V3.1c Starry Expanse

Any chance the stone markers can see a recipe change to use loose cobblestone now instead of stone? Since the recent changes have made stone extremely difficult to produce in any significant amount, it tends to severely limit the ability to make the markers without a significant investment in time a...

Is there a UI for the brick oven? I thought I saw someone on a stream open one, but I've finally managed to build a brick oven, and I can't seem to get it to open no matter how I click on it.

Re: Nether Fortress (Survival tip)

I like to dig three high tunnels in the netherrack ceiling, and use stone slabs to make the walkway as I go. This gives a faster movement rate, and also if you slab as you go, if you do open a lava block, it stops at the stone slab, so at worst I'm only one or two blocks away and can close off the l...

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O

First, thanks for continuing the work, I love BTW, I've spent more hours playing this game than pretty much anything else but EQ. Only two things that I'd really enjoy, some kind of chunk loader block/machine so you could keep your main base in the Nether loaded like original spawn is in the Over wo...

Re: soul sand hopper...help?

Ah, I see, thank you!

I just assumed it would have lots to dispense as soon as I powered it since it had such a pile of dragon orbs on top before I put the soul sand in.

Now to see if it explodes if I let it go too long.

soul sand hopper...help?

I've finally built a mob farm, and even though its quite small, and simple, I'm really excited about all the items I'm getting as output. The one thing I can't seem to get to work is the XP collection with hoppers and soul sand filters. I see the Dragon Orbs get sucked into the hopper, but nothing c...

Re: Hardcore Nether Animals Discussion (Spoilers)

Isn't a wiki by definition a spoiler? Seems pretty silly to be concerned about spoilers on a wiki. If someone is checking the wiki, then they pretty much want as much accurate information as possible or they wouldn't be looking there.

Re: Spawn radius chunk size?

Thanks guys, appreciate the responses. The link seems to imply its about a 12 by 12 chunk area, with each chunk being a 16 by 16 block area. If this is correct, I think I should be safe building a nice size village with automation and it should keep running. I'll do some testing with a millstone and...

Spawn radius chunk size?

I've been reading and re-reading the forums and change logs trying to figure out how large an area is always loaded. I swear I read somewhere there was a mention that the chunk centered on the spawn point stayed loaded all the time, but now that I've gotten to a point where I want to automate, I can...
