Can someone give me a general update as to what's gone down since then?

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

-snip- I predict Minecraft 2 to be announced by the end of the year. That wouldn't surprise me. With MS's resources they could probably have a sequel ready to launch in six months or so. I would think they would wait a bit and go ahead and create MC 1.9 before doing MC 2.0 so they have an actual re...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

void fog removal is one of the few vanilla things id like to see gone in BTW, haha. It's irksome not only because it looks bad, but in far distances it actually lets you see through the dark, letting you see shadows of enemies and the general layout of the area. This is especially noticeable in rav...

Re: State of Starbound

Believe it or not, the planets in Starbound are not randomly generated, at least not in the MC/Terraria sense. Every single planet in the game was pregenerated before release, so every single player is exploring the same universe. This is what allows people to exchange coordinates of loot-rich plane...

Re: Early Iron Mines - Cave, Strip, Ravine or Other?

I like ravines because after I mine them clean, I can come back later with more resources and turn them into derelict mining operations with lots rickety bridges and vines.

Re: Metin2

-Snippity Snip- The drop rates in Metin2 aren't too bad. Destroying a Metin Stone can get you some quite valuable weapons and items and same with the boss monsters. One of the other things you unlock at level 30 is Dragon Stone Alchemy. Which lets you evolve your character in a more specific direct...

Re: Metin2

seems interesting, downloading it right now ^.^ Least I have warning that shaman is going to be grindy xD I like the support types/healer types best. Yea, I picked the offensive based Dragon Force path with has a big-ass AOE attack, a couple of mid-long range attacks and a few defensive buffs. The ...

Re: Metin2

Interesting the way mining and fishing are not till midgame. Wonder if that is to prevent farming accounts that crash the markets. *laughs own ass off* Hooooo... nooooo... Someone out there has created an entire program that powerlevels farm accounts to level 30 then converts them to fish bot that ...

Re: Metin2

The earlyish game around level 20-30 can be a bit grindy, especially if you're a weaker class like Shaman, but once you get past that hurdle it speeds up quite nicely. The actual combat is somewhat WoW esque. At level 5 you choose one of two class-specific skill trees, pump points into whatever skil...

Metin2

Metin2 is a rather old Oriental-themed MMORPG originally created by Ymir Entertainment in Korea and Published in the UK by Gameforge. I've been playing it off and on for about seven years now and it still holds up well. The story concerns the appearance of the Metin Stones, strange space rocks that ...

Of course this render's moot the half dozen or so armor stand mods that have already been created, but what can you do.

right-clicking daylight sensors to make them night-time sensors Errrrr...because using redstone torches to invert a signal is now considered too difficult for most players? :) Yup.. Now whenever a thunderstorm occurs on a multiplayer server you'll be able to see dozens of random pricks running around with a conga line of creepers behind them trying to get a charged creeper.

well, of all ways I could think to get a skull, this one never crossed my mind The only way to obtain an intact skull is blow up a mob with more force than a regular creeper. Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

What we need is for Bethesda to stop jerking off to ESO, create a mega-team out of anyone who worked on Fallout 3 or Skyrim, buy up Minecraft and start redeveloping it starting from Beta 1.8 as if nothing past that ever existed.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

I get the impression the rabbits were just a startup task for the new guy. There's actually a funny little entry in the MC-wiki on them about how they were originally added by Notch back in alpha and were then removed due to public backlash :) Yup. A quick trip to the vMC wiki backs this up. Ryan H...

It does seem like just leaving wet sponges out in the open or near a fire for a while would dry them out but nope, you have to waste fuel drying them in a furnace.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

The Depth Strider enchant is definitely unique.. I haven't seen it in any mod/mod pack so at least Mojang isn't ripping content directly from the modding community this time.. And it could be quite useful in adventure maps or things like Wynncraft as a reward or area-specific ability.

Relax man. You don't need to take it upon yourself to point fingers over perceived rule infractions.
Sorry, I was just a bit confused about it.
