Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
For those who do not want to wade through the wall of fools and dreamers, half of the things that people are suggesting are either RPG/fantasy related (Elven? Really?) dual wielding, which will be clunky as hell, or stat building type bonuses, which will make things confusing. All of that is mod fod...

Re: Your Processor Setup?
I have a HP Pavilion p6-2014 , which I got in 2011. Initially, it was decent, especially compared to my previous computer-turned-server, which only had 1GB RAM and a single core, but its age is showing very rapidly. I recently got an AMD R7 265 (Sapphire brand), which was the only decent card that c...

I made a promise (slightly more than a year ago) to give back on something that has kept me frustrated, yet sane, during every playthrough (and IRL). Four worlds, three completed, I think it is time to return the favor. Thanks FC, and have a round or two on me.

Re: World Coruption and PC-shutdown
You may want to try to check out the chunks in mcedit, though this will only give you a visual view of the problem. I would recommend the Region Fixer tool to get an idea as to what is/isn't corrupted. Also, do you have any backups of the world? As for your computer, I do believe it may have been a ...

The Depth Strider enchant is definitely unique.. I haven't seen it in any mod/mod pack so at least Mojang isn't ripping content directly from the modding community this time.. The only time I have seen something close to what depth strider does was a bukkit plugin called Runecraft, which increased ...

It's not the Kraken, but it still is pretty interesting:
Changelog can be found here.
This actually looks neat, and finally gives a use for the ocean aside from the forever-a-safe haven it provides.

If you can time it right, you can launch sand into the air (only as an entity). http://i.imgur.com/d7PfgO4.png It works with all gravity influenced blocks (anvils included), though you can only launch it once before it turns back into a block. It is actually making me wish Hippo was still keeping hi...

I have yet to beat flagship, ever, even after all this time lol. I know that feeling. I had to ask my friend to do it, and that even took ~5 restarts. I am really enjoying the Lanis and their new cruiser, though. Combine them with a mantis/crystal crew and you can go on some fairly destructive tele...

I saw the news last night, but it stated that they were in the process of acquiring. Their twitter feed confirms it as well. In all honesty, I agree with the masses in this one (a big WTF?), considering that, like Notch stated, Facebook is a numbers site, where the amount of people posting is worth ...

So it seems that there is a new mob in the latest snapshot, and minecarts can go to... Ludicrous Speed! Post: https://mojang.com/2014/03/minecraft-snapshot-14w11a/ Xisumas' video: cAJMHwsgXC8 To be fair, this change may have reintroduced minecarts as a fast travel, but holy hell, I have reached 40 b...

A small warning about AMD 14.X (Mantle) beta drivers
For those that use AMD/ATI APUs and Graphics cards, there is an issue with OpenGL games and the latest beta drivers, 14.1_beta6, where textures does not load, or becomes a wireframe design at the texture seams. With the inclusion of Mantle, two of the libraries that look for OGL do not seem to work ...

How would you craft the iron trap doors? Wouldn't it conflict with iron bars? Four pieces of iron in a 2x2 square makes one trapdoor. It is more expensive (resource wise), but it means that you can create an indestructible (mob-wise) panic door at night without a crafting table, if you have the spa...

hopefully he will have a decent part, I personally hope he gets to taunt someone from a tower as an easter egg. Larger than the 5 minutes of gameplay that Patrick Stewart had? I do happen to agree with you there; if Bethesda can learn to not squander voice actors for only a few lines, players may a...

Granted, BTW FINAL and RTH would be awesome, but I am looking more at The Witcher 3 simply for its storyline and the DRM-free version (GOG and wine tend to make a great pair).

While it doesn't change current generation, I do feel like that replacing wool with stained clay in desert temples feels a bit more natural, instead of wondering where the ancients found wool in the middle of a desert (unless you are Towns, in which you have Snoats). On the topic of grinders/farms: ...

Is this a 7 Days to Die clone? I wouldn't call it a clone, but think of it more as a compilation of many of the more (in)famous zombie games. (e.g: resource/blueprint gathering of 7 Days, PvP/E weapon mechanics of the DayZ mod) As far as I can tell (my friend owns it, so I have played it at his hou...

I think I may have figured out the sudden hiring kick. Did anyone notice that Warren Loo (EvilSeph) Left at the beginning of October? There has been a lot of chatter on the Bukkit forums, and I noticed that he started working with them again.
