Re: Team Mechanic for HC Spawn
This sounds like a good idea. It will at least allow co-op players the option of committing suicide to rejoin lost friends. Should help Co-op Let's Players and make those LPs a bit more interesting when every death potentially results in the deaths of everyone.

Re: BTW 4.84 weapons/ tools take damage when you miss mobs
This is quite strange, since I don't believe that FC has touched the code related to this. Are we sure that you aren't referencing the infamous spam-click thing that makes you waste four durability for every one actually used durability when killing something? Furthermore, there is a remote possibil...

Re: Crash then dozens of animal spawn
Alright, I'm not sure that this looks entirely legitimate. This is pretty outlandish. If it is legit, there have to either be other mods/external programs involved or something seriously fucked up happened on the NBT level. According to the crash report, something tried to mass edit the game's runni...

Over a dozen suggestions in two weeks, half of them in the last couple days!? What the fuck is going on? Stop posting your suggestions because they are almost always horrible. Even if you think your suggestion will be the one that gets accepted--and it won't be--at least give it a rest for a while. ...

And seems like you're not busy with some mod [...] Obviously, it's not like you're finalizing some very complex overhaul mod or anything... LOL! Ahem... Total Conversion... :p and, no, it's not like he's busy with it at all. The real question here is who told this guy to seek FC's help? I'm not sur...

Not 100%, but I am almost certain they existed from the same update that wool armor came in. My little sister found them in the creative menu, but I can't remember when. This is true; on one of my rare sojourns in Creative, I noticed this and briefly rolled back to the previous version to check whe...

I am a bit late to the party, but thanks for another great update and I'm glad to hear that your eye problem has effectively been dealt with. This seems a bit random, but it almost feels as though the codebase is much more stable and consistent now. At least this update should pretty much eliminate ...

Invisible spiders! What amazing additions will Mojang bring us next? (sarcasm)
Anyways, honestly, aside from the status effects being applied to spiders and the resource pack system, snapshot 13w24a looks pretty bland, as the zombie aggro distance thing was actually added in snapshot 13w23b.

That was a good game! Indeed, it was a very good game; I still play it every once in a while. I'm guessing they put it on sale for so little because the second one is apparently coming out in a couple of months. In fact, I have to verify, but I believe Valve intends to have a short-time sale on tha...

Happy birthday, FC! Having had absolutely horrific vision all my life (uncorrected: -9.50 Diopter, or about 20/1000; can't be fully corrected, hence why it will soon be illegal for me to drive), I know how bad it can get when your vision gets in the way of what you want to do on any given day. Anyho...

Also no more snowy forests directly next to deserts. :P If only Mojang hadn't totally scrapped the extremely limited biome generator they used before 1.8. Being as it based biome location off randomly generated humidity and temperature values, it would have made things like this impossible. I'm gue...

I just read that, to heal half a heart in the new snapshot (remember healing now costs hunger), it costs four times as much as a sprinting jump would, sixteen times as much as normal jumping, and three hundred times as much as walking. Does anybody else think that this seems just a bit excessive?

Re: Old terrain generation nostalgia
I have to agree. The old terrain generation was much more interesting because you never knew what to expect, there were so many possibilities for how the land would be shapen. Now, you can more or less reliably predict exactly what any landscape of a given biome will look like before you ever see it...

Even so, it would still destroy game balance by making stone axes overpowered compared to FC's intentions. Anyhow, my point is that it is impossible anyways, so there is no need to discuss this.

Re: Any way to run treecapitator with BTW
I'm afraid that there is not. As you said, use of mods which allow for the easy felling of trees are heavily frowned upon here, primarily because the vast amount of time it takes to bring down all that wood, especially with no tools, is a major factor in game balance. If you could do it quickly, tha...

I believe the potions (Health and Regeneration) are still nerfed, but the standard golden apple has now been upgraded to Regeneration II, so it regenerates the same amount as before, and additionally has an entirely new status effe...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am almost certain that this is a Vanilla issue having to do with model replacement in the game files. Okay, I just ran some tests, and I'm not having this issue in Vanilla or BTW, so maybe this is an actual issue on some people's clients. I know that this was an issue...

Bah...do you seriously think I'm going to let him mess with BTW's balance at this point? You seem to be making the assumption that I'll integrate any changes he makes, which given what I've done during recent ports to new versions of MC, is highly unlikely. Was just waiting for confirmation that th...

--cut-- I'm all out of criticism for Mojang or Dinnerbone at this point. Probably ran out in the Scrolls thread. Honestly, he can add more gold to the golden apple and glistering melon recipes all he wants, nobody used golden apples anyways. Furthermore, he can waste his time adding silly ass comma...

I really don't think we should be going this far. Yeah, I need to quench my rage sometimes, but damn did that UHC video throw me off. He just gave the impression that he had absolutely no idea what he was doing, either in playing his own game or developing it. But you're totally right, none of this...

I personally think Scrolls looks pretty interesting also. Don't know if I'm convinced enough to buy it quite this early in development, but it definitely looks to be of much better quality than I expected. Anyways, I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that many of the developments in Mojang as a w...

If it's any help, I've never experienced any occurrence of one of these suffocation bugs, and I just checked and none of my animal pens are near a chunk boundary. Further, I generally don't crowd my animals. I have a very large population of animals, and it seems these two practices, one incidental,...
