Re: BTW Ministry of Propaganda

I was going to try something with angry wolves...but when I take a screen shot they turn into wolves with red eyes. I may try something like a picture of a happy wolf/dog with a caption that reads: Evil, Anger, and Death.

Re: BTW Ministry of Propaganda

I added a few more banners to the OP: Remember when when dying was bad? http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/2138/mu8p.png (I completed this banner in 15 minutes) Usin...

Re: BTW Ministry of Propaganda

So, I added my "Frame Reference.pdn" file to my OP in an attempt to make banner creation as easy as possible. I'm afraid this is likely only going to be helpful to folks using Paint.net, as I am not familiar with other image editing software. This can be found in "Resources". ---...

Re: BTW Ministry of Propaganda

Alrighty, I fixed the "Remember when you were afraid of the dark?" banner. One "f". I had fixed that in the pdn, but not the image. *sigh* The worst part is I just found out I cannot hot-swap images on ImageShack. One try only! Which means Epsilon, you're going to have to fix you...

Re: BTW Ministry of Propaganda

The "afraid of the dark" banner is pretty good, I like it. One thing though, there's an extra F in "affraid". :P Wow, good job me. I'll have to fix that one later. I do this before I start work in the mornings, so it may be a couple of days. Thanks for the positive response guys...

Re: It happened...

Thanks guys! My wife was surprised at her development too. She said she was surprised how quickly my daughter was able to wrap me around her finger. I don't see it though :) I haven't mastered the game-while-she-sleeps-on-me thing. There always seems to be somthing that needs to be done. I think onc...

I'm a dad! [Warning! Impending father talking about his child.] Nearly two months ago my wife and I had our first born. A little baby girl who is awesome! The pregnancy was difficult, and the delivery abrupt and terrifying. She had a prolapsed umbilical chord, which meant she (my daughter) wasn't ge...

Re: Dwelvers - Dungeon Keeper meets The Settlers

That was amazing! I love that the developer had to stop and say, "Huh, my trap didn't work very well." His "working" trap turned out to be pretty brutal. I don't know, though, how I feel about placing the hydraulics on top of the dug-out walls. I was under the impression it was s...

And to think, this all started with a little frustration and six blocks. FC, you have made an extraordinary game, and an extraordinary community! It's the combination of the two that keeps me interested when I cannot play for months at a time. You, sir, are a fascinating force of nature. What is it ...

FC, forgive me if you have already answered this (or don't want to). Reading that Steam Console Controller-thing thread reminded me of a question I have been wondering about for a long time: What is your opinion on making RTH cross platform, assuming the opportunity presented itself? (As an aside, d...

Re: Tales of Woe: how has a feature of BTW killed your steve

I accidentally beat a cow to death with a bucket. Now, I know. This wasn't directly related to me dying, but it certainly contributed to my starvation. I hadn't played in a while and I saw the udders. When I right clicked nothing happened so I thought, "maybe I'm supposed to use the other butto...

Re: RTS Game Design Question: Upkeep to complex?

It's not a different idea, but... It sounds like the player needs to recognize what is happening with some form of overly obvious visual indicator. Something along the lines of aura intensity or a ratio of numbers that turns red when capacity is surpassed to indicate the supply is being stretched to...

Well, happy birthday FC!

Sorry to hear about the headaches. That rather sucks. I spend a lot of time giving my wife neck rubs and hand rubs for her headaches.

I'd offer, but it might be weird...so..Happy Birthday!!

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

Mojang is oblivious to the point that, stay with me here, modding is gameplay . I'm not certain I entirely agree with this. I was under the impression that the mod API (however ill-conceived or over reaching) and the mod "directory(?)" was supposed to bring mods to even the most casual of...

Because it looks strangely symbolic.

I was referring to Packed Earth. Just making a statement on how me adding an apparently simple feature like Hardcore Movement tends to escalate with time.
