Just started a new world with my spawn adjacent to a lovely forested mesa, would have hated to see it all get crisped.

Any interest in updating this for the community edition, now that the extended addon API is incompatible with it I think? Thank you for the addon by the way, it always irked me in BTW that any natural forest landscape would tend to get ugly with charred trees over time.

I'm also a mostly-lurking longtime BTW player, and think this sounds fun. I have a microphone, too. I'm in the eastern time zone (GMT -5) and would be available for scheduled sessions most weekday evenings, and any time on the weekends.

Well I don't know if you consider this to count as fighting the wither "head on", but I've found it helpful to fight them in forests as opposed to a flat open area. The cover provided by the trees can help you to retreat if you get in a pinch to restore health or just rethink your approach...

Most of the time I listen to music. When caving or in the nether or something dangerous, I turn the music off or switch to to something ambient and low volume so I can hear mobs and such properly. When I'm doing something totally mindless, like digging out large areas or exploring, I'll watch a show...

I've never tried to test it rigorously or make a mob trap, but just from exploring jungles, I've seen them spawn on treetops during the day and seemingly at night as well, and never seen them spawn in caves under jungles, so my first guess would be that the leaves have to be open to the sky. Down for me at the moment too. I haven't been on much the past couple weeks due to work, so I dunno how it's been before that. Anyway, I've got a few stacks of pearls from my mob trap so if I do manage to log on, I'll leave them in the chest by my portal for people to use :)

Howdy :) Your experience with BTW? Been playing it off and on since the days of MC beta, and I've made lots worlds to experience the early game lots of times as new hardcore modes came out. Only made it to the "end" of the tech tree like once since then though. Why do you want to join this...

Now that I actually have some money to spare for once, I couldn't think of another developer I'd rather throw it at. Loved BTW for some time now and am excited for Return to Home and whatever else you get up to.

I think this is the largest group I've seen in a let's play- I'll be interested to see how they take to the mod and what kind of stuff you guys build. I was expecting the newbies to have some trouble the first day, but as it turns out, they kind of showed you up huh ;)

Unless Flowerchild changed it relatively recently, it works in BTW as well. Even before I knew about the spawn chunk thing I noticed weird things happening in my BTW singleplayer worlds- if I left my base for a long period of time and it rained while I was out, the windmill's gearbox would be broken...

What exploit is being fixed with the crafting table change? Maybe I'm not thinking hard enough but I can't see what advantage could be gained by placing the crafting table in weird ways or clicking on it in different places. Not criticizing, just curious.
