just tested in a quick creative mode, successfully leveled a villager up to level two, both in creative and in survival after leaving creative

Have you had your world in creative mode at any point? I'm pretty sure FC made it so that if you have, all villager xp and levelling gets disabled (even if you change back to survival). I use craftguide a lot since I'm always forgetting recipes for stuff :/ I recently started using mcpatcher again so I could get a TP to work with the connected textures for glass, but I can't seem to get the craftguide to work o.O I have btw,craftguide, and the art decon addon in that order.
