Re: Behemoth 1: A beta 1.7.3 Better Than Wolves Mega Factory
Well, you see... I uhh, ran out of gold. I do have lenses for just about all vertical redstone. Some lenses like the ones next to block dispensers are used for a 3 way redstone selector where a slab, redstone wire and a light block are used to select between three different options. I think I can ma...

Re: Behemoth 1: A beta 1.7.3 Better Than Wolves Mega Factory
Holy shit, what an amazing job, that's wonderful :) I'm getting some flashbacks to my first world shortly after seeing Etho's mobtrap and mob sorting video, where I too wanted to have a megabase with production on top and processing bellow :D And yeah like Aaron said, I'm sure others would be inter...

Re: Behemoth 1: A beta 1.7.3 Better Than Wolves Mega Factory
Sure! I'm not good at coding so I'll have to post the entire jar since I reworked pchan3's airship and Balkon's weaponmod around Better Than Wolves meaning some of their items are inside of the mod_fcbetterthanwolves.java file. I'd also like to post the source since that's the best place to find rec...

Behemoth 1: A beta 1.7.3 Better Than Wolves Mega Factory
Hey all, it's been a while. Anyways, I've decided to roll back to beta 1.7.3 and backport lenses, bellows blowing, hard-core buoy, buddy blocks and possibly a few other features I've forgotten about. In the spirit of Etho's Lab I've constructed a Mob grinder for animals and hostile entities with som...

Re: Did you know you can play BTW on mobile
I did it using the Pojav launcher app. It runs Java edition minecraft. Setup has to be done via PC as the files for said app are not allowed to be accessed by the phone's file browser. I've only done this with android so I can't speak for other systems. You have to set up a custom minecraft version ...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
Man, the whole survival aspect of the game goes out the window with the whole VR thing. It's just a convenient lego set to port into AR, but, man, isn't it pretty? I don't imagine that a lot of standard videogame experiences will translate to AR/VR directly. It's gorgeous but at the same time awkwa...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.99999A0D Marsupial??!!)
I booted up an old world with this update and went into my mine. Then my skin started to crawl and my sense of security went out the window :) Thanks for the silverfish noises. I think I'm going to spend the next hour or so looking for a new spot to mine in.

Designing involves a lot more than I had ever known. I've really only manifested ideas for physical objects than those for games and the former have been proven to be challenges. The whole brain in a jar thing...

Re: Tip for people that want work in the games industry
I'd like to think obsessing over all design discussions on the Better Than Wolves forums helps a bit ;) I strongly suspect that the thought process of many people involves something along the lines of "Programming is too hard. Art is too hard. Sound engineering is too hard. I know! I'll be a de...

It looks like villagers will harvest and replant crops. https://twitter.com/jeb_/status/425648729111408640 Yay! Mojang supported slave labor! Wheat for all! On a slightly more distressing note, Dinnerbone has semi-automated the end of many servers/builds http://dinnerbone.com/media/uploads/2014-01/...

netherquartz and lapis gaining usage in enchanting and more crafting looks like incentivised mining to me. I'm a little dissapointed that the granite and dolorite were treated as ores instead of layers of rock. They feel like the next gravel deposit now.

I want xp for getting xp because you know, the game isn't hard enough. There really isn't anything new to see here. It's just another junk feature.

Re: Automating entertainment
@Flower Don't the Japanese already sell something like that? @CreeperCannibal I've always thought of the Auto-kiln as Steve's home entertainment center. Now that you can bake with it, the entertainment is endless! I'll have to assume that's a little inferno refrence. Otherwise it's whatever floats ...

Automating entertainment
Has anyone automated their entertainment yet? Not of the mod from an out of game stand point but more like a "What would steve entertain himself with?" standpoint. Something to kill a little in game time with. My plans are to build a redstone AI which will pick out supplies and mobs and to...
