A wide rumored bug is that "hugging" a creeper negates damage. I have also seen this to be true in some cases. Also another type of negation happens when you jump when the creeper explodes. But really things like this are hard to test consistently..

I came across the blight on the wiki today, and I was curious what people could share with me to avoid trouble with it later on. Is it like corruption in terraria? Where with enough work you can surround the corruption with incorruptible material and prevent its spread before you go into hard mode?...
