Re: Took a peek at the Forge code
Hm. - They provide Javadoc so navigation is a little easier. However, I'd rate the documentation at C-. - Packages are a little excessive. It could be brought up 1 level and still make sense. - Use of annotations for documentation elements is nice. - I like the idea that they are using annotations f...

Re: Why would people want compatibility ?
Do I wish BTW were compatible with Forge? Yes, I wish it were compatible. Yes, Forge does limit FlowerChild's ability to mod his way; yes, there are political issues in the community; yes, it is up to FlowerChild to decide whether to be compatible with Forge or not; yes, it is wrong for the communi...

Re: Spinning Ideas [Trying to not lose hope...]
No, that's fine. I was mostly wondering about the time aspect. More time = more money, but if you had a reason why you need fewer or flex hours... Regarding the career: If you admin a network I assume you have some sort of certification to make yourself more marketable. Are you willing to travel &am...

Limited information makes it hard to offer advice.

Re: Girlfriends and pornography.
She may feel that watching porn is a step towards ultimately cheating. She may feel that his watching porn means he is unsatisfied with her and if he is unsatisfied then he may cheat. Therefore if she stops his watching porn then she stops his eventual cheating. I don't know if this is an American t...

Re: Another loss in Translation.
But to get back to the term bottleneck gaming... Google search indicates that it likely means a performance bottleneck. What is limiting factor in your ability to play a game such as CPU, video card, internet connection, hard drive, et cetera. One of those is the bottleneck for the games you play an...

Can link to an example? The only thing I can think of is パソコンの性能ボトルネック. A bottleneck is a limitation of throughput for a downstream activity. Example: If you can only make 10 Widget A an hour, and 20 Widget B an hours. Each Widget B requires 1 Widget A. This means the max Widget B production rate is...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of October 23rd)
Personally, I'm really not digging Fernflower. The code it generates seems far sloppier than what I was getting with JAD. For some reason it prefixes every call to all member functions with "this." which is really annoying (and useless), and also tends to inline massive conditionals as pa...

Re: Hardcore Info stories
I've built giant stone pillars to signal my way home. Also, I've started exploring by river a lot more. It is is much fun to explore this way and setup waystations while I explore for a day. Forests & jungles now have lookout towers as well. It is easier to setup a tower and look for it if I get...

So, with that in mind, I'll also likely be doing passes on the other mobs in the game here and there in this more sedate style over the next few weeks. I have some plans for zombies in particular that I think will make them much more interesting without unleashing total havoc. Endermen were definit...

Re: MediateCraft v1.45 - Koga would still be proud
Reinstall & new world did not fix it. I tried the dagger and chisel cord + flint recipes with no luck. Now this is going to seem weird, but... I dumped the cord, flint, and sticks I harvested from my inventory & replaced with 64 of each from the creative menu. Then I tried the recipe and it ...

Re: [4.20] Jade Dragon Realm (Anarchy) Updated
Yeah, I thought i read somewhere a quirk with water and obsidian that it couldn't actually be broken. Can't find it now. Oh well. I guess just finding a convenient 2 deep hole in bedrock and use two cobblestone blocks as the lid being pushed back and forth too fast for any one to be mined should be...

Food is also a problem for me. I've hit starvation twice despite the villages many wheat plants. Only wheat has kept me alive. Technically, I spawned in the desert. However, about 30 blocks north is a swamp (nothing but sheep, shrooms, and water) and south/west is an iceplains. East is just more des...

Re: MediateCraft v1.45 - Koga would still be proud
I do have to admit that the Navaho seed is not exactly the best for MediateCraft hunter-gather stage. Two temples and two villages nearby have made this much easier. However, I am having fun exploring the desert and the harvesting the various chemicals. I'm having a bit of trouble with the tech tree...

Re: MediateCraft v1.45 - Koga would still be proud
UtakaraJ6, A possible bug. - Configuration file for BTW 4.20 is default. - MediateCraft I turned off Hardcore Glass. - No other mods installed. I started a new world (seed: Navaho, large biome). Exploring nearby I found a Well and in the middle of the well is a Pulley. I uninstalled MediateCraft, re...

Ah, now I understand zinc. When you (tutorial) said "first powered" I thought that meant if you turned it off then the block was expired and could no longer be charged.

Re: MediateCraft v1.45 - Koga would still be proud
Just finished the tutorial. Some questions/observations before I start a new world. - I used the stone chisel, but I did not get silver ore. Is this correct? - Is the wooden chisel only for gathering cobblestone? Since flint is needed for stone chisel, do I need a wooden chisel? - In which biomes is...

Re: Likely changes to F3 and its implications
I really like the survey post/pegs idea, but the idea of knowing how far you are from it seems a little... magical for me. (Unless it's powered by tormented souls, then we're cool.) But if it worked something like an anchor, in that we add rope to it and get the measurement by pulling out the rope....

It is sad that the API discussion got off track. I'll check the log when I can, but did you see any discussion of a need for a standard way of managing block-item-entity interactions via interfaces or other methods?

Re: Mod Api Discussion (by Mojang)
This is my ignorance showing, but what is stopping Mojang from adding hooks for every game element? Good judgement, the ability to estimate effort, and a concern for managing scope creep. Mojang will probably compile a list of what is mentioned, prioritize based on complexity and demand, and evalua...
