Doki Doki Literature Club

Been stuck in the hospital for the past few weeks, so I've been able to spend more time recently playing games than I have in the past. One of the more recently games I got into was a Visual Novel called Doki Doki Literature club, and I admit I'm probably going to have nightmares from it for a while...

Finally taking the time to play modern BTW.

Jesus Linedancing Christ, Flowers. This is both amazing and horrifying. I owe you some cigarettes and booze.

Re: Early Access. Your experiences.

In July, it'll be 7 years since I bought minecraft. The fact that I'm still paying it today, albeit in a heavily modded state, is reason enough to say it was worthwhile. I also hold no regret about Prison Architect, Escapist, Don't Starve, Terraria, and Factorio. Delver is also on this list, but sin...

So long, Mr. Iwata

Most of you have probably heard the news, but on July 11th, 2015, the Nintendo president Satoru Iwata passed away. It's not often that a celebrity death gets to me, but this one hits relatively close to home due to how big an impact Iwata has on the gaming community. The dude was a genius developer ...

When I saw the Shulkers, I immediately thought of Hosts from Binding of Isaac.

As for the Chorus plants and the end city, they have my attention. Let's see if they get my interest.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

I wouldn't actually worry about them leaving behind Linux and Mac. The folks working on it said that it's a port of Pocket Edition, not a reconstruction of Minecraft. This is basically Mojasoft trying to add some cross-platform play, albeit from a combination that's almost as weird as online multipl...

Re: Hololens and its applications.... discuss

I think the first application is going to be advertising and demonstrating a design or something to a client. If you think it's going to be anything other than porn or games, I think you may have far too much faith in humanity ;) To be fair, the first thing I did when I got the Oculus was download ...

Re: Ark

I've got this game, but I'm not gonna be able to play it on anything above 30fps until July. However, this isn't on any fault of the developers. The GTX 275 wasn't really a powerhouse to begin with, and after 6 years it's starting to fail on me. In terms of the game itself, I actually had a fair bit...

Re: Hololens and its applications.... discuss

Aside from games the implications are pretty brilliant as well. From animation and modeling, to real time simulations and crime scene investigations. This could be applied to movies and will no doubt be used for sports broadcasting. This could be the new our generation radio, a transformative way t...

Rest in Paradise, Monty Oum

A few weeks ago, the entertainment industry took a pretty big loss. On January 21st, Monty Oum was hospitalized after a severe allergic reaction during a medical procedure placed him into a coma. He died two weeks later, on the first of February. For those that don't know, Monty Oum was one of the l...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

It's just a convenient lego set to port into AR, but, man, isn't it pretty? I don't imagine that a lot of standard videogame experiences will translate to AR/VR directly. It's gorgeous but at the same time awkward. I guess its just a "this is how I've know the game" kind of thing. I'm not...

In regards to the money put into the house, he "only" spent around 4% of his money in the bank on that. Dude's beyond fucking rich, even compared to some of the other buyers. Given how much money he still has, I'd be willing to wager that a guy like him can EASILY live off of the yearly in...

Notch buys $70 million dollar mansion

Since leaving Mojang a few months ago, it looks like Notch has been busy. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/minecraft-creator-notch-outbids-beyonce-and-jay-z-/1100-6424311/ According to this article, Notch is now the owner of the 8 bedroom, 15 bathroom mansion, previously bidded on by Beyonce and Jay...

I see your movie and raise you one telltale game series . Because, you know, the art style and narrative are the real selling points of minecraft. *headdesk* Art style? It's a nice reprieve from the over the top polycounts that make games unplayable, which is one of the reasons I still play it. Nar...

I feel bad reading through this conversation, seeing as I actually like the iPhone :/

Unfortunately, I haven't had any hands-on experience with the Windows phone, but from what I've seen from the android, it would at least give you more options and a wider selection of apps.

When I first had a blight infestation, I started freaking out and tried looking for a way to get rid of it. Unfortunately, I was thinking of it in comparison to Taint in thaumcraft, and spent too long looking for a way to "purify" the area. Now I have myself encapsulated in a wonderful rec...

Given that my childhood was during the releases of the prequels, I had the backwards thought that the movies were good sheerly because I was young and stupid. When I went back to re-watch them a year or two ago... Yeah, I basically fell into a deep depression when I realized that my life was a lie. ...

When I first saw "Hardcore Hoofsies", I thought Flowers had gone insane and become a brony, but this is way better. Now I've got another thing to the "List of Animals that can kick my ass" ... I am really low on the pecking order in this game. The only thing that's lower than me ...

While I think it's a cool feature in theory, for me the novelty wore off after a while, and it felt like it was just there for the sake of being there. It's interesting, but I can't tell what it really does for the game.

Usually I wear some headphones and listen to music, doesn't matter too much what type it is. When I need to focus or stay alert, I'll turn it down, and I have had moments where I wound up dead because the sound of the creeper behind me was drowned out by a bass-heavy song. I also have a tendency to ...

Me and my coworkers were talking about this when word just went out about it. Honestly I have no idea where I stand on it. The concept wasn't really that interesting to me, and it blows that 13,000 backers lost their/their parents' money on this. Combining this with them canceling "Shadow of Is...
