Back to BTW after a few months hiatus

So I've finished and handed in the last of my college assignments today and what better way to celebrate my newfound free time than to get back into BTW. I've been on a bit of a MC hiatus for the past few months, mainly due to college and getting my hours shifted at work. The last time I played BTW ...

Re: Item elevator (platform)/water stream help

This is the method I used on my first one many moons ago. It's not very space-friendly but no doubt someone with better redstone knowledge will be able to compact it a fair bit. Input from turntable timer -> BD latch on the right, output on the left which will need reversing if it's a pump you're us...

Hey FC, just wanted to show my support for you in these troubling times. I won't say too much as most of my thoughts have been echoed in previous posts. Keep your chin up, and keep up the good work. Just to help lighten the mood: Here's the letters BWF created out of dung blocks set against a backdr...

I find the OST to the game bastion is a good backdrop to general BTW activities. One of the best game soundtracks I have ever heard, it's got songs of all moods.

A question about charities/donations

Hello all, I just wanted confirmation on the forum policy regarding asking for donations for charities. The reason I ask is I'm taking part in a charity event called Movember, basically being sponsored to grow and style a moustache throughout the month of November in aid of a couple of charities dea...

@Everyone: Those that would like to help, let me know. We'll also need some resources for the actual track. Gold is probably going to be the most difficult to come by.
I don't have much in the way of materials but more than happy to lend a hand once the servers back up

Re: Need help with a seed dispenser.

I had this issue with my dung farms as well since i was using the dung produced to trigger feeding. Falling in front of a detector isn't long enough. What I did is put a sticky piston extended in the spot where the dung (in your case seeds) falls so that it sits on the extended block in front of th...

Re: Need help with a seed dispenser.

Maybe I'm a minimalist, but instead of using a wheat farm to seed the chickens, what about a hemp farm? That way you aren't forced to recycle hemp seeds. You could have a closed wheat system elsewhere. Yeah I'd thought about that but I'm in this more for the challenge than anything, my aim is to ma...

Need help with a seed dispenser.

Hi guys, I've run into a problem with a design I'm building for an automatic seed distribution system. I wanted a system hooked up to an automatic wheat harvester (2 wheat bioclocks) that would send 2 seeds back to the harvester and any extras directed to a chicken farm. The below is what I've come ...

Yeah it's a really great story, the fact that he takes the time to bury each and every one.

Ah I haven't read this for a few years, I do remember thoroughly enjoying it (I'm a sucker for zombies) Gotta find a new copy so I can read it again. Re: Anyone else read World War Z?

It would definitely have to be the one about the blind, old man. That one was amazing. How 'bout you? Yeah, really hit a chord with me with that one. Although mine would have to be the chinese sub crew, just the attention to detail blew me away. I got this back when it came out, I had the Zombie Su...

I'll let you off Donzaffi, looking back it wasn't the most descriptive post :-P

It's basically a series of eyewitness accounts from different stages of a worldwide zombie outbreak. It really is a great read, highly recommended.

Anyone else read World War Z?

Picked this gem up on friday after my sister recommended it, haven't been able to put it down since. I swear the author must know something we all don't.

Anyway my only problem is, I'm almost done, so any other decent zombie novels I should chek out once I'm done?

Hi,

If there's space for one more could I get an add please? Same name as on here. I've not had very good experiences with SMP in the past (dodgy communities and whatnot) but am keen to give it another try with a friendlier community.

Thanks,
