Re: Rock Paper Shotgun barely mentions BTW!

Yea, I think the farmhand simulator was uncalled for. Seems to me he just looked at the windmills and the fact you couldn't play other mods alongside BTW and became disappointed(?), doesn't really appear to have tried it.

I think I might use this phrase to get myself through tasks that I otherwise wouldn't be as keen on doing.

Re: Dominions 4

I only have 39 hours on Dominions 4 and probably had around the same play time on Dominions 3. I'm still a baby. I enjoy playing with Ulm but I'm still horrible at everything. Love the game to bits, though.

Re: Dominions 4

I get what you're saying and I try to do just that but I don't have the foresight on how to develop and deploy my magic. I suppose with time I'll be able to formulate something workable.

Re: Dominions 4

I play it often and its a blast. I'm great with the administration of resources and troops but I am SO terrible at pretender creation and using magic. I am sort of new and damn 800 magic spells and all them unique units make me really dumb with planning strategies around magic. One of those games th...

Hoplite, I believe would fare better in the situations where you would like to use your phone for entertainment. But that does depend on who you are.

Re: Hello, again!

Teleglitch! I was going to name most of the games that have been mentioned, only one that came to mind that wasn't among the rest was Teleglitch. I don't want to call the game fast-paced but it is pretty intense. It has crafting that doesn't feel to be just for fluff which ties into a sort of resour...

Re: The Last Federation

You might be right, MaxAstro. I also agree with Sarudak but now I'm wondering whether the player's extreme power is intentional since the player is the last Hydra many leagues ahead of all the other races. Maybe the difficulty remains with getting the races to do what you want without the others rui...

That's what I meant. I found that, even though they warn you about how they may be impossible, the docking missions were a breeze.

Re: The Last Federation

The docking missions were rather lame. Crank up the energy to your movement, put the left over on shield, have the special ability that diverts power to the shield on stand-by and all you had to do was touch the way-point. I've only played on medium so far but that felt really cheesy.

Re: HC Hunger - 1/6 depletes on hit

Honestly, don't you think that telling someone to change the mechanics of a mod/game/product/whatever so you may play it with convenience because you don't like it is a little too much? Its such a small thing that is bothering you, just deal with it... you noob?

Re: Glass blocks line of sight

There are dogs outside my window, I can call them as much as I like but they will only stare at me. It freaks me out a bit. Other dogs do it at times too.

Not emphasizing any point but I THINK its suits this.

Re: Question about challenge relative to other mods

Honestly, I find that only Terrafirmacraft is the only mod that comes to mind that adds difficulty to the game due to the completely overhauled game mechanics. BTW doesn't change the game as drastically as Terrafiracraft but the combination of all the mechanics added to the already existing game plu...

Re: Why we need RTH now more then ever

I never even thought of it from that angle... You can't do what I do, and do it for this extended period of time, and allow yourself to give a fuck about public opinion man. There's just no way or you'll wind up a quivering mass in the face of people's demands. I've said it before, and I'll say it ...

Re: Return to Home Visual Interpretation

-snip- Thanks, I'll just try the re-size and see how that ends up. I understand the very variable working times, I made sure I read the posts thoroughly and that's where the many hours of making the drawing look in the slightest presentable will come in handy, I won't be working on it 24-day. The d...

Return to Home Visual Interpretation

As I'm sure everyone who lurks/participates in the BTW forums knows of RTH's coming in some other shape or form, be it an expansion to BTW (I.E. new dimension), a whole new mod or whatever FlowerChild manages to conjure. As per usual, questions come up and sometimes FlowerChild gives out hints, an e...

Re: Just read "The End" text for the first time

Even reading it online, without the excruciatingly slow text crawl, you have my sympathies. To quote Rosencrantz or Guildenstern (dead, either way), "Half the things he said meant something else, and the other half didn't mean anything at all!" Quoting Hamlet, what a blast from the past! ...

-snip- Overall I think the Return to Home could also be harder for you as a mod maker. I mean you say that you would want to keep your entire focus on the world you created but if a large portion of the mods users are not there you'll be having to either abandon them to a hybrid of what was good wh...

Re: Beginner to BTW: Hardcore Buckets?

I've been playing HCB since it was put as default. At first it made some projects messy and clunky because I couldn't guide the water smoothly but that was that and I've improved quickly when it comes to dealing with water flows. All in all, when you advance and can build the screw pump, your proble...
