Ranting was definitely not my intention with that statement, I'm fully aware that mob-traps are an integral part of BTW, I was by no mean raging about that and that it should be removed. Well, I've not entered the end yet and I know that end stone is limited, more then other blocks. This is the only place where I might have to force myself to build a mob trap if I want to continue using white stone/gunpowder, but I'm not there yet (soon, maybe). For my "mine" being deplete...

If you're building a minimalist mob trap, I wouldn't recommend building it underground; having a low number of air blocks around where you want mobs to spawn affects the spawn rates almost as much as having unlit caves, and mobs simple won't try to spawn there. Thanks for all the input guys, I'm glad I posted :D I was really under the impression that a working mob farm had to be huge, I might just make a small underground one, I like the idea. And as far as diamonds go, I completely forgot their uses! Thanks for remainding me, now I have to find a villager...

If it's any help, the description for the tallow is RIGHT, so your fixes are in, but the version that is logged is wrong. It's been like that with the 1.0 version too.

To start off, I know that BTW is balanced with mob traps in mind: kibble, arcane scroll, change to ores and others. I've never seen mob-trap as a must in BTW, but more like something that helps you. I got it working :D I delayed the signals to the pistons like Rob said. I think the fact that it worked with a button before is just a glitch. I had the same thought, but the button use the same line of redstone and it works... I'm experimenting with various signal source, and I think that might be because the pulse from the DB is too short.

As far as I can tell, your texture problem is due to Optifine overriding a base class that BTW modifies for the mod textures. I can't recall the obsfucated class name and I don't have access to that code right now, maybe someone else can chip in. Also, Optifine HD texture fix is NOT compatible with ...
