Re: So long and thanks for all the fish

Thanks Flowerchild, thanks for 10 years of BTW, the feast's worth of food for thought you've given me over those years, and for helping create the kind of gaming community I can actually feel safe in.

Wishing you the best of luck, and stay safe, the world's not getting any less crazy.

Re: Is anyone actually enjoying No Man's Sky?

I'm enjoying it, but I wasn't paying attention to the hype because I thought it was PS4 exclusive, and I'm playing it from my brother's steam library. So that severely toned down my expectations, as it were. The game is pretty sedate so far, as I've only hit the first Space Station, but mining and f...

Re: Steam Sale Season

I picked up the Homeworld Remastered collection after seeing it on sale, really excited to relive a childhood favorite, and I hope to check out Sands of Kharak sometime next paycheck.

Re: Show us your builds!

I restarted recently due to continuing problems with my old world, and I've decided to try and pretty up my hovel with some wood flooring and trim. Really helps make it feel like less of a hole-in-the-ground despite it being literally that. =) Floor 1 http://i.imgur.com/mL7kobZ.png Floor 2 http://i....

Re: Some gorgeous (custom) Minecraft terrain

Yeah, I won't argue that the value is there, but I imagine that a lot of us consider spending that much on a minecraft map to be rather extravagant. But hey, if you can afford it, more power to you I guess, these do look quite nice.

If so, I'm afraid fishing won't be an option anytime soon.

Keep an eye out when hunting and you might find a lake/pond, though, you might get lucky!

I don't believe that pool of water is big enough to support fish. Try a lake or ocean, a river might work, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Re: Exposed spoilers will bring swift death. The Force Awake

It was great! Just the right balance of what it needed to be without going too far unlike I-III. In fact it reminds you of I-III's missed opportunity :( The young age of some of the actors was kind of distracting to what their 70s' counterparts would have been. All the tie-ins were done without fee...

Re: Exposed spoilers will bring swift death. The Force Awake

My only (Exceedingly minor)complaint thus far is the lack of new ship designs and such, that is, stuff to make LEGO sets out of, you know? =P Not many new things outside of the trailers, and most of those only show up in the corners. Like, give me a new B-Wing or Vulture Droid, guys. I want to give...

I am! Still can't find my camera, personally.

Your Origami stuff is neat, and it's cool to see something done well outside of my range of general interests. Good stuff. If it isn't too much a bother, could you shrink the images, though? They come up rather large in-forum.

My brain's been just a scrambled mess of Wars Star jumblies since I saw it, but I can say for certain that I really loved it and the more I think about it the more I love about it. I will be going to see it as many times as time and funds allow.

Re: Windmill question

As it is now Gearboxes only break during Storms, and Storms only occur during rain or snow, so I manually shut my windmill down when it starts raining to avoid having to dash outside when I hear a storm starting. You're in the desert so it's a nonissue now, but it might be useful to know in the futu...

Well, to start off with, here's an obscure Bionicle character . Most of my building is focused on the Character and Creature Building System, my System builds are pretty small scale in comparison. I'll take pictures of a few other builds tomorrow if I can find my camera. And here's a link to the art...

I mostly draw and build custom LEGO models, I dunno if that matches up to the spirit of the thread?

There's some real cool stuff here though, Gil's Pixel Art is gorgeous and I love what Bino's doing with T-Shirts, stencils, and bleach. And the Origami is pretty cool, Addybaha.
