Re: BTW Playing Habits
And yeah, despite my rants about Stephen King in Icy's recent 7 Days videos, I must admit that's one time he got the ending right. Ha, that's probably the greatest part, too. The ending of the movie is different from the source novella, which ends pretty much ambiguously. The ending in the movie wa...

Like, this is the tune I usually start with when I'm booting up the game and it just goes on random from there: xpMNXEY_tio Have you seen The Mist , FC? This is the track during the ending scene which is one of the greatest kick-in-the-guts moments I've ever had the pleasure of watching. One of tho...

Would you do it if you were already obscenely wealthy though? My impression of Notch is that he already has more than he knows what to do with. Not sure he'll be so easy to purchase as a result, but will be interesting to see how it turns out. I thought about that and you know what? I probably stil...

Not happening. Microsoft has nothing to gain from adquiring a publisher that has already released it's product to other competitors (i.e. Playstation 4, Iphone, Android, PSvita). Unless Minecraft 2 is on the pipeline, or Microsoft can force it to be on the pipeline, Mojang has no other assets that ...

EDIT: Is this the right Subforum to post this in? If it's an addon request , then it should probably be moved to the addon forum. Having not dug through the actual sound management in the source and therefore offering only a semi-educated guess, I don't believe you'd need a copyright go-ahead from ...

When Sony and Valve do it, they probably have a programmer or 5 working on the side on *just* that Just to jump in here and emphasize your point, in Sony's case they bought an entire company that specialized in it. Re: Game Design: Skipping failed missions
In a multiplayer game or an MMO, I recognize the need for direct competition toward completion of game content. I also recognize the human psychology that says that you will value the game accomplishments more if there is no "skip" button. Still, I ultimately believe that if I spend my ha...

Don't misinterpret that as me saying I *will* implement an amplified terrain type. Wasn't thinking that, no. I should clarify it was more of a beat-skip really. You've been more than clear on your stance on terrain gen. yet it seems to be the thing that people are tripping the most over at present....

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
The amplified bit is just an option that has very little to do with the new terrain gen, and would probably be exceedingly simple to implement. Just had a Morv moment reading that. I've seen that they changed it from 36a to 36b already when I reloaded my amplified world, different biomes, different...

I'm actually surprised it was as complex as it was. Does the Saw-on-turntable-powered-from-above setup no longer work? I haven't kept a world around long enough lately to have gotten to that point.

No, I had no idea :) I play with default textures and don't really follow pack development at all. Looks awesome though, I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks!

Related but slightly offtopic: Panda, it looks like you're using the same texture/resource/whatever they are now pack as ItchyFlea from MCF is. What pack is that? The night sky is awesome in it.

It broke part of my mob trap filtering that was between the bulk storage and my auto kibble factory (temporary hold attached to a turntable timer used to give the bellows enough time to filter arrows out from the bones) but I can replace that functionality with pistons. Just means the apparatus will...

Pretty spot on description. I especially loved the tie-ins with music from Chrono Trigger, and the every-once-and-then acoustic twang:Stormweaver wrote:while not the greatest game in the world, Chrono Cross's OST is a work of art in it's own right, and half the reason the game has any play value.

The entire Final Fantasy Tactics OST. Incredible composition, very atmospheric. Adds stress when you don't need it and joy when you do. Even the music in the menu screens never gets old, despite you hearing it for hours and hours in a normal playthrough.
