Re: Why we need RTH now more then ever
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but if a game's in ongoing development, shouldn't that mean that developers would be looking for ways to improve upon it, rather than just constantly adding to it? Something just feels off in Jeb's response quoted in the OP...

Re: Vanilla Anvil inbound
Well Mojang was planning on making MC modular in the future (If they don't screw that up somehow) so that could help with removing the future features you don't like. But of course, this is supposed to be implemented with the mythical Mod API, so yeah. >_> Wasn't that about a year ago? When I heard...

Re: Mycelium not spreading to grass/dirt slabs
For the mycelium, it doesn't spread to grass, BTW or vanilla. As for the grass not spreading to dirt slabs, try waiting longer (in my experience grass spreads to all nearby dirt blocks and then slabs). Ah, ok. Sorry about this then, a mod can lock it I guess. EDIT: After doing some more testing, It...

Mycelium not spreading to grass/dirt slabs
As the title states, I installed the most recent version of BTW, along with the most recent Modloader as well as updated my LWJGL. (2.8.4) I placed Mycelium in a patch of grass, and it didn't spread at all, and the same goes for dirt slabs. Grass seems to behave the same way with dirt slabs, althoug...

Re: My single problem with BTW.
You're a wuss. P.S. ...and please refrain from accusing me of devil worship man. That's totally uncalled for. There's that snarky remark ;) Alright, not devil worship, but nevertheless the Infernal Enchanter and the canvas stuff is... questionable to me. I realize that kind of stuff really interest...

Philosophical ramblings (Was: My single problem with BTW.)
Let me start off by saying this: Flowerchild's game design is second to none, his way of working through problems is a bit over what Mojang themselves is doing (especially because BTW implements bugfixes/functions before they're in vMC). I've been playing BTW in my main world up until a few BTW upda...

Re: BTW Deco Add-on (pre-release v0.4.5 - updated 6/11)
If possible later on, could you make it so that it does work without BTW? Like where it checks for BTW, and if it doesn't find it, it would use different recipies? I don't know if you'd want to maintain that, though.

Well, because I'm such a nice guy, I did bury a hint I hadn't given before about the 4 points in the above posts ;) Wait what? I thought you said there were 3 phases.... Is this a troll??? :P Well, 3 phases leading up to the Return To Home, which I think of as Phase 4 (it'll be independent from the...

A fish tank would be nice if you added fish mobs, I've always wanted a fish tank in a Minecraft house.

Isn't it because there isn't enough item/block IDs to hold all of those things?
It says something about LWJGL, maybe you should try updating that?

Re: How do YOU use minecarts?
Yeah, a nether rail network is what I'm working on in my current survival world, I'm planning on for it to take me between blaze grinders, a Pigman farm (although I need to do this first >_> ) and a SFS production plant. There's no particular place in the overworld that I need to go to yet although ...

Re: Activated Mob spawner gives off a redstone signal?
Well that's what I'm going to try for now, but there are still some problems with it (IE not activating/turning off automatically, as well as complex wiring, although that's not that much of a problem.)weldaSB wrote:Edit: why not have the mob spawn on a pressure plate?

Re: Activated Mob spawner gives off a redstone signal?
Why do you need the obsidian pp? The spawned acts as the sensor that activates. You can stand right next to the spawner and have in work w/o anything else. I mean for an adapted version of that where it doesn't kill the mob automatically. If you hook it up so that when you exit the room the piston ...

Re: Activated Mob spawner gives off a redstone signal?
Meh : VNtetaoqiRM Seems pretty easy, doesn't need new features ;) Think with what you have, not what you'd need to make an idea work ;) Maybe, I'll see what I can do with it. I have a Skeleton Dungeon I don't need in my survival world, and it's relatively close to my base right now. The only proble...

Re: Activated Mob spawner gives off a redstone signal?
Yeah, but that makes problems, how do you wire that vertically? I suppose it wouldn't matter if it was a spider spawner, but lighting their spawn range so that they only spawn on top is obnoxious as well, too. I don't know Dx

Re: My latest build
Well, I would probably prefer to incorporate this into the mod itself man, since it would allow me to incorporate the end into the overall tech-tree, and I always work alone. Hmm... Something interesting might come out of this. I'm pretty sure I'd be going off topic again so I'm not going to contin...

Re: Activated Mob spawner gives off a redstone signal?
Well considering the souls of the spawner can turn regular cobble into mossy (Isn't that the explanation FC used?) it sending off a redstone signal doesn't seem very unlikely. About Obsidian pressure plates: is there a consistent way to make them turn off though? I know you can hook them up to a RS...

Re: Activated Mob spawner gives off a redstone signal?
Don't talk about temp-bans. FC takes that as an invitation to perma ban people. Ignore that then. Sorry It's an interesting idea, but it feels too magical. Other options are: - Obsidian pressure plates lining the room - Using lenses to detect the player Both can kinda simulate a person entering the...

Activated Mob spawner gives off a redstone signal?
It would make it useful as a player sensor, and I'm sure it might have some other uses. I wanted to make a proximity activated fountain, but unless I'm missing something there is no practical way to make a player sensor right now. It's not really useful unless you're looking for somewhere to build a...
