Re: Does BTW seem dead [Solved]?
Thanks for the supportive words guys. I had mostly avoided this thread this morning due to the rather rude title, but nice to see some of the above :) Sorry Flower for the rude Title, It won't happen again! (I can try to change it to something less rude if you'd like) As for the topic, I think that...

Re: Does BTW seem dead?
Ah, I thought I was missing something. The last few replies to the dev diary I had not seen, guess I should've checked to see if there was anything new :P

Does BTW seem dead [Solved]?
I've been a follower of the BTW community for a while now, and I've played it since around MC Beta 1.6 or so (and I still do). I've seen its ups and downs, and I applaud FC for putting up with the $#!% of many people. Lately, the community seems really quiet, almost too quiet. Do you guys think its ...

Re: Panda's Dokucraft Texture Pack[BTW 4.9Marsupial]
Love the new axles. btw, is there a change-log somewhere? I modified your 5.7 pack a bit to add addon compatibility, and was wondering what the changes have been since besides the axles.

Re: Watch Dogs
It was my understanding that if the game runs at the same resolution as your screen/moniter, it is literally impossible for Anti-Aliasing of any kind to happen because there are no redundant pixels to recolor. (I'm writing this at 3 AM, so sorry if I don't make any sense) As you might know AA is a ...

Re: Watch Dogs
I haven't been able to play it personally (no money and not-so-great computer), but what gameplay I have seen seems quite lacking both visually and mechanically. The optimization is terrible, as Nvidia GPUs have a steep performance advantage over AMD cards, and both Nvidia's SLI and AMD's CrossFire ...

Re: [SPOILERZ] Hardcore Villagers trading mechanics.
I've played around with the blacksmith a lot since the update (and since I got the trading to work) and all I can say is wow. What I've found out about the villager mechanics seems to go quite deep, and I fear posting what's been discovered due to a possible (ban)hammer (bad blacksmith puns ftw! ......

Re: Transporting villagers (spoilers)
Once I have my primary base set up, I actually like to have a second base, near a village if possible. It allows me to start a project that is more for aesthetics with functionality, rather than base design that is primarily set up early on based on survival needs (for instance, starting off in a fu...

As of 1.5 I think so; It's based on the minecraft.jar if I remember correctly.hawk wrote:Speaking from a position of total ignorance: Is the vanilla statistics screen driven from a local/client file?

Re: How long have you survived?
If you only play in a single world: record how many hours played as logged by the game, then when you want to know, record the logged play time at the "final" point, subtract the original time, and multiply by 3 (?) (60 minutes in an hour, 20 (?) minutes in a game day; therefore x60/20, or...

Re: [SPOILERZ] Hardcore Villagers trading mechanics.
The trade mechanics are effectively disabled in creative, so that may be the source of your problems right there. Make sure you're actually doing this in survival before reporting any issues related to it. Ok, I just loaded up an older end-game world with some villagers and it seems to work now. ED...

Re: [SPOILERZ] Hardcore Villagers trading mechanics.
there is a + sign near the trades that give villagers experience from trades. trade those first. also higher villager levels needs more trades to go up I've tried both in survival and creative, and I've been getting the + sign, but there's only one trade option and the xp bar at the bottom doesn't ...

Re: [SPOILERZ] Hardcore Villagers trading mechanics.
Is there a specific way to make the villagers level up? my current one (blacksmith) is either taking forever or he's not gaining xp from + trades. And so far, no ++ trades.

Re: Modding Tutorials
@FC I forget I assume those asking for help are new to programming in general (I deal with a lot of those types in my life away from the internet, so I tend to be locked in that state of mind). Like you said, given experience with a language like C or C++, java would't be hard to figure out from wha...

Re: Modding Tutorials
From my experience, modding just takes a little bit of java programming experience, and maybe a look into some of the source code. I'd recommend getting a decent understanding of java before starting though, as that is likely 99% of Minecraft modding. There are tons of java tutorials on the web (The...

Building in Windows. The instructions don't seem to work right when I follow them, but I might be missing something. I'm also not used to any sort of code-building environment besides like eclipse and netbeans (both for java), so I have no clue what I'm doing for virtual studio or python, or whateve...

Derp. Yea, I was used to the ring (or something similar), with one on top, never realized to check the wiki for other variations. @Six could you please explain the wiring for your autokiln, or could you please post pictures? I'm trying to reduce redstone use (and space since I'm building underwater)...
