Re: Considering the tone

To be fair, he's having quite a bit of dental pain recently, and you're coming in on the wake of a pretty obnoxious troll. And he did make this forum, as far as I can tell, so that he wouldn't have to watch his language and could be as blunt as he wants. And he's a rather blunt person, such that no ...

Now I'm curious as to just how you are doubling those four bits. What wizardry are you up to?

Re: Eureka!

By any chance was Jeb's write up on how he fixed doors at all an influence in this?

Re: BTW Puzzle map

Yeah, sure, and I appreciate the criticism. I hope it didn't seem as if I was offended or anything by your comments. I even took your advice and fixed it :P It was mostly someone else's comment. Yours actually seemed to be more about the aesthetics of the area I thought, which didn't really comment...

Re: BTW Puzzle map

You touched up the scenery rather well. I'd have to struggle to get outside of the map now, which is definitely sufficient. Good job including the rules in-game as well. You misspelled break though. Considering I'm still new to the mod, the prize at the end, er... had more of a surprise to it than I...

Re: BTW Puzzle map

I'll check the changes as soon as I fix my BtW installation. I somehow broke it when trying to install it along with the HD texture pack fix. Wanted to use SpaxBDcraft or whatever it's called. Also, as a response to earlier replies in the other thread: I'm aware it was presented pretty much as a pro...

Re: Much Ado About A BTW Adventure Map

Those screenshots are looking great. Very atmospheric. I'm surprised you were able to capture a universal gloomy look in the lighting throughout the scenes.

Re: Morvelaira's News Compilation

There is the extra options in world generation. If this is made one of those options, then I don't see the problem. They can, in good conscience, later add in IDs or metadata and let those who don't have enough power for both choose the smaller world heights. I'm going to wait and see how this is im...

Re: Much Ado About A BTW Adventure Map

jorgebonafe, the greatest part of your map is the trickery you used to make it all look like clockwork. The only flaw there was how visible the pistons were, especially the one at the top. That was very much in the spirit of Myst, and very convincingly done. My complaints with the map are that 1.) y...

And how would that effect/be effected by slain and wandered animals? Creeper explosions would be more frustrating than usual as well.

Re: Something that is a threat...maybe

Rather, I'd be much more inclined to create mobs that force the player to think about defensive structures. I understand not adding such a thing for now, but I have to say that is exactly what I want the most in Minecraft. All the potential for traps that vanilla Minecraft already has and the even ...

Re: Nether cement buckets

I hope no one minds me explaining why, as I'm kind of wanting Indras to understand where the fault is in his idea... As I understand it (and I could be wrong), cement was designed as a means of more quickly building a suitable work and travel space in the Nether, one that couldn't be blown up by Gha...

Re: Forge - question for FC

I discovered Better Than Wolves through the Yogscast as well, but their demonstration was so unflattering that I assumed it was just another ridiculous progression mod like Industrial Craft. Their emphasis on the concrete without any explanation of how far you had to progress to produce it and what ...

Re: Auto Kiln 9000 (Something a little different)

Nah, his method works quite well and is able to minimize redundant resources. Moving the two "extra" pistons from the double sets to the top of the kilns probably wouldn't make it any less complicated to wire and time. If the contraption someone is trying to time increases convenience at a...

Re: gold washing

It is rather unfortunate. I've been looking at TFCraft for about a week now and watching Bioxx's rapid progress, and I would love to see a trifecta of BtW, TFC, and the Invasion mod for Dwarf Fortress-ish goodness. Would probably take a complete rewrite of at least one of the mods if not to in order...

Re: Derzuel's HCB Challenge

Whisp is right. The only "challenging" part is to arrange and even out the water flow, which is only a matter of time and annoyance even on Survival mode. That farm design can be made to use a single source block and a single redstone, for the piston controlled via lever, and can be extend...

Re: Scary Portal (make Nether portal more dangerous)

I suppose your lips are sealed on the subject of the mob spawner effect on the nether side of the portal? ;) Er, I think he responded to that rather directly: As has been surmised, I'm not keen on nerfing the nether by making its resources available in the overworld. If anything, I'm moving in the ...
