Re: Morvelaira's News Compilation
Warning. Rant incoming. I think it's time that people take some advice from the suggestion sub-forum and apply it here as well: Think before you post! Seriously, what is it with this particular thread that takes what otherwise is a very good community of intelligent people who usually have good ide...

Re: Undefusable trap/mechanism trigger?
I'd say an undefusable system might require a trigger that's not relying purely on redstone but rather use some other mechanics as well. One possible way could be a mob spawner from a dungeon with pressure plates beneath all places the mobs can spawn, meaning it's proximity based rather than action ...

Re: Undefusable trap/mechanism trigger?
The best way to defuse an explosive trap is usually to detonate it on your terms. Locate a tnt block, build a corridor to the side of it, place a block next to the tnt and a lever on it. Flip the lever and back up a bit. *booom*

Re: Holophonics, audio hologram
I've listened to these a few times over the years but this was the first time I've tried with a 7.1 headset. I'd still say it never feels like the sound is coming from in front of you but the directions otherwise are much clearer, especially on the y-axis.

Re: Morvelaira's News Compilation
The topic here is for reporting on news and such, discussion on the news and discussing things like that video (which is cool :p ) belong in other topics so this thread remains as uncluttered as possible. Also, seems like the Nether bug should be fixed now: Found it! Nether bug: exterminated. Damn t...

I've got it pre-ordered on Steam as well. On my 4th playthrough of Borderlands 1 (first time in a long while to refresh my memory) althoug I've got some runtime errors that crashes me to the desktop every now and then.

Re: Is there a simple Display/Shelf mod that works with BTW?
No idea if it works anymore (or even if it's still being updated) but at least once upon a time you could use Risugami's Shelf Mod with BTW. This was way back when, predating Forge and such though so no guarantees it'll work.

Or he might be Steve's mortality that has been stripped away from him. Steve cannot truly die now because of that but whenever he dies he wakes without his memories and experiences.

Re: Morvelaira's News Compilation
Okay, I know this may be fairly old news compared to current topics, but I don't remember this question being asked/answered. What effect is the vMC dispenser's ability to pick up and spit out water source blocks going to have with HCB? On one hand you it will offer an easy 'spout' like device. But...

Re: MC 1.3: Pigmen Spawn near Nether Portals
I'm not sure I agree that it leans toward being a bad thing that you'll end up with the same results from various paths. There is no point to it at the moment, for sure, but if Minecraft continues to develop on a broad range then I could see a point in the future where being able to end up at the sa...

Re: "Pre-release" of ModLoader 1.3.1 is now out
It seems to be a version of the old adage: "Sell The Sizzle Not The Steak". Or to use more accurate terms, the perceived attributes of the product seem to mainly focus on the aesthetic value, foregoing attributes such as quality.
