It is interesting how of those who can hear, most do often not listen.
But yeah welcome to the forums. Not much you can do about the axe other than replace the haft, though I must say that from the photo it appears to have a rather thin at the head, which could be why it broke in the first place.

I need help with world editing
Let me start by saying that I have no experience what-so-ever with world alteration tools at all. This is mainly because I find entertainment in building structures in game and never really saw the need for such tools. That, of course, is until now. My current world spawns the player in a large wint...

Re: What steel item did you craft first?
For me the first thing I create is typically a Refined pick followed be a Refined shovel. Yeah I know I could craft a mattock, but I just find that mattocks wear out too fast for my taste. Similarly I generally won't craft battle axes as I tend to make heavy use of both my normal axe and sword.

Re: Record Farm With BTW.
Ok, true. I guess I just don't see the point of automating records Well duh, the point for automating is for the challenge of it. Also if I remember there are 12 different discs and you can get duplicate discs. By automating you insure your ability to get them all and extras if you wish to have mor...

Re: Record Farm With BTW.
Shit, I'm missing 80s night? Gotta get on IRC! After the final tweaks are done with my mob farm... I will have to try this... but how can you automate the creeper spawning in the right spot? Oh that's simple, all you need to is find a way of filtering out skeletons, zombies, spiders, and endermen w...

Re: map generating problems
Out of curiosity what effect does that mod have on the spawning of things like caves, dungeons, and strongholds? I'm asking because I'm looking for a mod that would allow me to hit them with the tree that nerf bats are made from. I mean, I seriously loath every time I dig into a cave or ravine.

Re: The mechanics of mob spawning in the sky
Now don't quote me on this, but if I recall correctly that around about the time they expanded the maximum height to 256 FC said he would alter the mob spawn code so that mobs wouldn't spawn above a certain height as he felt that mob farms should be a reward for managing a large area to make one wor...

Re: Meet the Pyro
Best Meet The ___ video ever! I laughed my ass off it totally fit Pyro's character. I know, and considering how much controversy surrounds the the Pyro I think Valve put together a brilliant video for it. I mean on one hand they paint it as pyro-maniacal monstrosity that revels in murder and unwont...

Re: 2 Portals in Overworld lead to 1 Netherportal?
In answer to the OP what's happening is that you've created a one way portal network. The fix is to simply manually build a new portal that is closer to the cords of the Stronghold portal than the base portal. The Minecraft Wiki has a good article that will cover every thing you need to know about p...

Re: Morvelaira's MC News Compilation
I think it might of been stated already, but I don't think that your siding will be facing much competition with the new slabs FC. Even as it is with slabs being able to be placed on the roof siding is still more useful because slabs are designed from an aesthetic stand point verses the siding's fun...

Re: Planetside 2
I think what made Planetside such a great game for me was that you could do things in it that you couldn't do in any other game. Armor columns were not only practical, but very effect if people knew what they were doing. Another great aspect was that in the original you weren't limited to any class ...

Re: Planetside 2
Eh, too be honest I'm not all that excited about Planetside2. From what I've read on the development thus far is that very little of what made planetside such a great game has actually remained in the game. Basically Planetside2 is a new game with better graphics that tries to lay claim to being a s...

sorry my bad, those weren't taken the Thaumcraft TP, I took them with a another called aurocraft. It was late when I took them and I wasn't paying attention. Eh bees aren't bad, wasps are annoying, it's only the yellow jackets that i hold any real animosity towards. Here's my own personal story. I had come down to help clear some underbrush with my father as bit of a fire safety precaution. I was using a machete at the time to clear vines and small bushe...

Johnt if you would, describe what is minecraft-y? My point is simple, what minecraft is differs from one person to another. As for the bloomery,( a capola furnace in reality) having the readout allows the player to do other things without having to remember exactly how many pieces of charcoal they t...

Re: If monsters attacked animals...
If you feel particularly mean, you could have endermen also hunt pick up animals and creepers. Fixed it for you. Fixed again, why pick up animals when there are kamikaze plant forms that are perfectly capable of frustrating the player as it is. For added "fun" make it that endermen immedi...

Re: TerraFirmaCraft (Total overhaul of MC, almost DF style)
I saw that the other night and decided to give it a try and spent couple hours on it. Here's what I have to say, it does make things a little more complicated, but ultimately it just makes things more tedious. It doesn't increase the challenge of survival mode, which the author claims they were aimi...

Re: Spawner update
The spawner already has a visual cue to indicate that it is active. The cue is the mob inside it spins when the player is close enough, but stops when the player isn't. Granted it does require line of sight for the player to see it and can be difficult to see if depending on what style of spawner th...

Re: (IDEA) Mushroom stalk logs
The intended use would be as a source of wood for those who spend all of their time,or majority of their time underground. It's also ascetic in the sense that it allows people who don't want a quote in quote tree farm under ground still grow wood for use. I guess that the idea is mainly about mainta...

(IDEA) Mushroom stalk logs
Not really a suggestion, but just an idea I've been kicking around for a while now. The idea would be to alter the giant mushrooms so that their stalks could be harvested and turned into planks similar to the ways tree can. The reasoning is that in order for the mushroom to reach that size the stalk...

Re: Pepsi vs Coke
Now that I think about it I would have to say pepsi, it just seems to have more flavor. How ever, I'd prefer DR Pepper or a strong ginger ale if I could get it. All in all though I'm not much a soda drinker, I'm more of a coffee and tea drinker.
