Transporting orbs upward?

So, I finally tried to take on exp-semi-automation, but I encountered a problem. The "outlet" of the mob-farm I'd like to utilize is at y=5, right above bedrock, which really complicates setting up further steps ad hoc. I made a platform & pulley system to reel the loot up into my base...

Even better, that removes the actual necessity of a soulsand-hopper. Set it up so that the bellows blows the items into a hopper while the orbs stay & decay.

Re: Dragon orb obstructing minecart tracks

Also it should be noted that this is a dry system(i'm trying to hardcore-bucket this system) and there is no water availability to manipulate items. Peoplez, read 'em OP! ;) As for the actual problem, The only other solution I could imagine would be to use pistons (or bellows) to push the loot over...

Re: Showing my ignorance -- IRC

IRC is short for internet relay chat and is afaik one of the oldest but most persistent live messenger systems. It is also often "abused" by certain groups for its fast and easy file-transfer capabilities. To access it's special irc:// addresses you will need a client dedicated to it. Pers...

Been playing chess for quite some years and am a regular at the local club (I even was at the tournament last weekend). I'm currently in Storms world, but I can't seem to get the BD to suck up the logs quick enough compared to how fast the pistons are feeding them in... going to have to work out delays somewhere.. if I can Is there a way to prevent the BD from spitting out items? That little village is looking quite lovely already. :)

Also, maybe I just didn't notice it until now, but at some points during the last episode you mouse and keyboard seemed exceptionally loud... A nasty little disturbance in the otherwise nice sound D:

Thanks for the update, I'm off fishing now! In situations like this, having a base in the ocean isn't that bad. *big grin*
I now have a valid reason to semi-automate dynamite production.

Although I am a bit sad about no more nethersludge to clay...

As a rule of thumb, animals are attracted by light and open space. You may want to put down some light blocks/torches as well as reconsider the placement of (non-)opaque blocks.

I don't like most high-res packs (ruins the feel imho), but this one looks pretty neat, especially with the btw-stuff. Just three things that came to my mind: 1. iirc, cement is made with souls, and to reflect that, flowing cement has soul sand-like screaming faces on them. After creating such a &qu...
