Re: FTL: Advanced Edition

I'm loving the advanced edition. Hacking + beams is working really well for me. Pop one of those bad boys on a shield and go to town. I notice you didn't mention the mind control system. That right there is a life saver when you get boarded. I haven't had too much experience with the Lanius yet, oth...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (March 31st) - Cold hard truth editio

Good luck FC. I've been out of the loop for a while, peeking on here every once in a while. I am still looking forward to seeing the final masterpiece, have been for a long time, and I've enjoyed every second of the wait. From the first windmill to sobbing while the night mobs devoured the animals o...

Re: What hilarious misconceptions have you had about BTW?

I thought the domestication of cute little puppies was as easy as giving a wolf a bone and not thousands of years of selective breeding to root out feral instincts and the urge to feast on human flesh.

Re: Custom Map for BTW - Seeking Input

I'd really like to see this, as I have always like the "arty" custom maps whose only purpose was to make the terrain more enjoyable and scenic, yet could never find any that really worked with BTW without later bottlenecking a necessary resource or making other resources too abundant. From...

No spoilers for you :P

There is an alternate recipe... but it does require that you are fairly far in the tech tree (like... all the way), and a very bad man in order to use it.

I've said too much...

I pray for you and your world.

Sooo.... the two games I am playing are the two you are currently modding...

The fates have chosen the only two games I've purchased within the last couple of years wisely.

I can't wait to try it out after I get the little one to sleep.

Roofed Oak? Let's give it the same mechanics as big jungle trees, oh and make it look the same as spruce. I have no problems with the Acacia, except it looks ugly as sin (not that there are a billion options with 16x16 cubes, but whatever.) It's stuff like that that bothers me... little crap. Just l...

I tend to stick to my old habits and build mostly underground. Easier to light up for a lot less coal. It's easy enough to pop-up above ground during the day when it's safe and then retreat back underground for safety and dwarf work at night.

Well, this part isn't directly related to villagers, more general exploration and making that more fun, with I think villagers still being the primary motivation for people to go out and explore. Basically giving people more "candy" to find as they roam about so the world doesn't feel qui...

The oddest gameplay habit has formed for me...

Cows and sheep. We all love them. We love their wool. We love their milk. They are lovable herd animals. And although this isn't a new feature, the necessity of eating grass before their wool grows and their udders fill, I have found myself turning in to an early game shepherd. Once the sun comes up...
