Actualy while our admin team was building new map for our vanilla server 2 years birthday (which is 03-16, and that's pretty much today), I had quite a bit of lag. Maybe I only imagine that i had lag, but I think that 1.5 somehow effects performence more then 1.4.7

Things in server are going really nicely. Most people starting to expand in nether, and having neatly connected portals. Ross, and Tom have made there nether base, and they're taking care of spawn portal in nether by making nice hub(or at least going to). Atm I'm in progress of building mayan city....

Well, I've gotten my road about 500-750 blocks from my base, going N to spawn. I have no idea how far I am, though. Nope I was for a while in cave system. It was around 15min if not few minutes less. I dont count this as that fast death, but i died in next 2min when trying to find my compass in same cave, and i ended up in that random location.

I got same spawn in a row. I mean i spawned in same spot twice, after than in other location, but there was somesort of human made hole with 3high dirt tower which had from left pumpkin and from right steves head. lol so random..
