Re: RimWorld Alpha 16 – Wanderlust released!

I think something is bugged, or I've just forgotten how huge a drama queen every character in RW is. On my second attempt I had a stronger colony, decent food stores, and prepared for the fallout event in advance. Everything was walled in. In the end everyone still went mad, one was too jealous of t...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 16 – Wanderlust released!

Aaaaaaand its over. Malaria struck, even with the special drug prepared to cure it, a wave of toxic fallout appeared. I had finished an advanced medical room with hospital beds and vitals monitors and that did not save me. Had separate buildings (screw mountain bases, but that's why they died) Anima...

Re: RimWorld Alpha 16 – Wanderlust released!

So far I've been playing it and I haven't felt the urge to form a caravan, it seems as a huge risk with a little potential reward - you could get some good items in trade, provided the target colony has them, and for a decent price. But I have to admit as soon as I saw the world map, the first thoug...

Re: My Summer Car - Hardcore Life Survival Simulator

This game is like a dank permadeath version of BTW. I've assembled the engine on the first day, however one of the belts is missing and every time I try to get to the nearest town for supplies, I die of crashing. Even on driving with the first gear its frigging lethal.

Re: Soylent (But not green)

Cool, thanks for sharing. Well, I'd try it out, but in a country where the minimum wage is ~300 EUR (taxes deducted) or less, not entirely certain, kind of unsure if its worth it.

Re: Soylent (But not green)

Lol, sounds like you guys should read some ancient philosophers. I tried it out for the last few days, and it is seriously blegh. It doesn't have any taste but the hint of rice milk and some kind of chalky texture, but that goes away if you mix it like crazy. Definitely drink it with tons of ice, a...

Re: Soylent (But not green)

I enjoy cooking as well, it's like modern day alchemy. And I agree with Wafflewaffle completely that it brings joy and peace, in cooking, sharing, and tasting the food. It takes a lot of practice and knowledge, and I would rather pay the same sum for ingredients and do it myself any day rather than ...

Re: Soylent (But not green)

Im not a big fan of this kind of replacement cousine. I get the appeal, but cooking and tasting is such a integral part of what makes us people, it makes me kinda unconfortable that people try to replace it with ready-to-go meals. Seems so souless to feed on something that nobody made. I, on the ot...

Re: Soylent (But not green)

Would recommend. I've had about a month each of 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, and am currently working through a few months of 1.4. I preferred the original version, but it has all been quite drinkable. I've had much worse experiences with some protein shakes. If it is gritty, it's not mixed well. Consider adding...

Re: Soylent (But not green)

Not only vegans, anyone. It is essentially meant to replace your food, it saves time/money greatly. Most users also report significant weight loss and haven't heard of any negative effects. Aside from craving normal food that you can chew or weird metabolism at first week. Would've tried it myself i...

I just watched it. It was okay, I enjoyed the visual aspect of it and everything else was ok, pretty much as I expected.

Microsoft mobile devices are seriously underrated. I have a Lumia 930, it has the greatest camera I've ever seen, however, I miss the customization that android had. It runs very smoothly though, never had any lags or bugs with it.

wise words That's pretty much what I've wanted to say, you've put my thoughts in words better than I did. :) Anyhoo, for me personally, Notch wasn't really that much a person of interest to me, whose thoughts or principles of life I cared for. Maybe that's why I don't see it as such a big deal like...

Re: Hang in there Notch (Being ultra rich and lonely)

I think we're missing the point here. Most likely I'm wrong (yet again), but I think it is a simple depression that every human being has been through once or more in life, namely, we've all felt alone, discarded, unneeded, pointless, hopeless, etc. The fact that notch is quite rich makes this depre...

I'm trying to imagine myself in his shoes right now... Reassembly is 33% off at the moment. It's...interesting. I've sunk a good 13 hours into it in a couple of days and have had fun so far - Modular, Physics-based ship building and destrustion is always fun, and there's a kerbal-like quality that will leave you designing a ship for half an hour, givin...

Desperately need help finding a film

I've been digging for it some time. Saw it a couple years back. It's a historical film, set during one of British colonial wars, somewhere in Africa (want to say somewhere near Arabia, because they were fighting Muslims, but not sure). There were a lot of scenes in the desert. Some British soldiers ...

Re: Star Wars Episode 1 Review

Seen it. Unfortunately I saw it when the prequel hate was already starting becoming really annoying for me. As a kid, I grew up with the prequels, and the old films seemed to be shit. Then I realized how Jar Jar and Anakin and the plotholes ruined everything, I started to like the old ones. Now I si...
