Re: New Release! (BTW V4.61)

Thank you Flowerchild! PS: I think my question is not worth starting a new thread, so... well, is that normal to sometimes have a higher fat level than food level? Also, is there an efficient way to lose fat? I still have the bad habit to eat without looking how many food points I need, and current...

Re: Share your hardcore hunger stories

My story: Started a brand new world to see just how much the difficulty was ramped up from vanilla or even pre-HCH play. I had no idea the pandora's box I opened. Spawned in a forest biome, pigs galore, so I murdered as many as I could to get a good supply of starting food, but I knew my resources w...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.60)

The only thing my sleepless mind can think right now goes something along the lines of, "Holyfuckingshit." I feel this update will really bring out the men from the boys, and I'm really excited to play with all these new mechanics! Thanks for the update, you're the main reason why I still ...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

What's the fuss about? Stacking mobs is only possible by editing a mob's nbt data, it's not possible to stack mobs ingame, not even in creative. It's meant to give map creators the ability to create custom mobs ala the spider jockey. The fuss isn't that they added the feature into the game, really,...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of Feb 11th)

Normally, I don't really care if a game has story or not, since it's not a requirement for a good game. That being said, one game that I felt did the story brilliantly was Bastion, which was a hell of a lot of fun as well.

Pardon my language here, but the Hardcore Movement sounds and likely plays fucking awesomely. I honestly can't believe that it wasn't something already in the game/thought about, and it seems like it really fits perfectly. Thanks so much for another awesome release!

On the hopefully good side of things, Dinnerbone apparently buffed both skeletons and zombies. How much, not really revealed.

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of December 31st)

I know it's been said before, but I still find it funny how, for once, Mojang added something that was too weak for the effort put into it. Kind of backwards of their norm.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

As someone who maintains a personal texture pack, I think this will be mostly a pain in the ass - but, if this is a step towards the (loooooooong) awaited API, infinite block IDs/texture indices, and better rendering code, I suppose I'm all for it. Also - oooh, shiny new thread! And if that's the c...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion

Looks like Mojang is going from texture sheets to individual files for each texture , and is including a converter for texture packs . Oh my lord, this hurts me really badly... I love working on textures as sheets as a whole, and this just feels wrong and weird. What's the point of them making this...

The whole situation just smells of dirtiness. I've never seen such a cut-throat modding community, it's insane. Keep your head up, and I'm sure it'll blow over eventually.

I really enjoyed the calm, point for point response FC gave, only to be disappointed by Dinnerbone's seemingly lack-of-care, single sentence response.

Of all the Modmakers out there, I think FlowerChild and Azanor are definitely the two I look up to most. They have such... For lack of a better term, grace, in making things feel right. I mean, when I played TC2, sure I could feel it was a mod, but it was really well structured, if not a little unba...

This assumes Steve's soul is valuable... My take on being troubled... Steve found himself in a wacked world and is trying to get back home. I just recently picked up H.P Lovecraft's "Great Tales of Horror"; a collection of 20 of his works. I've read some of his stories in years past, but when I saw this at the store, I practically drooled over it. Haven't had much time to read it yet, but I'll have plenty during the dead hours...

While I'm a bit late to this conversation, I just want to add in my opinion; I agree with the most recent choice. While it'll be strange to see an end to the current Better Than Wolves, I'm excited (and quite frankly, scared) to see what TRTH will bring. No doubt, you'll add in your Eldritch horror ...

Do you plan to Keep Beacons non-functional in the Nether? I've actually seen quite a few posts on reddit saying Beacons do work in the nether, provided they have at least 16 blocks of air above them. I'm not 100% sure if it's correct, but just trying to put the heads-up out there, just in case FC d...

Oh man, I really like the look of that windmill. ;) Excellent changes, can't wait to see the difference in the End. I really like how you split the mechanical power sources so the overworld uses either windmill or waterwheel, Nether is windmill only, then the End is waterwheel only. Really neat! Kee...

Re: Morvelaira's News Compilation

An interesting thing about the new 'purifying zombie' mechanics in the new snapshot that I found on reddit. http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/y7ner/experiment_with_zombie_pigmen_shocking_results_o_o/ I'm not sure how this could change gameplay, as villagers in the Nether doesn't seem THAT b...

Re: Morvelaira's MC News Compilation

I saw the mob spawner change on Vech's superhostile thread, but wasn't sure of the legitimacy of the news. It's not a very big deal for players who just play normally, but anyone who plays high quality custom maps is definitely going to enjoy that aspect of this update, in my opinion.

Re: Not sure about 1.3.

Don't worry about it. 1.3 may take me a longer than normal amount of time to update to, and many people may be banned along the way, but everything will be just fine in the end :) The bans will be the sweet, sacrificial lambs to fuel your process. And it will be a beautiful, bloody, joyous occasion.
